Class 2 Driver/Drainage CCTV Operator Job Opening In Auckland – Now Hiring Tradestaff


Job description

We’re looking for an experienced Drainage CCTV Operator to join a well-established team in South Auckland.

This role involves operating CCTV drainage equipment to inspect and assess underground infrastructure, ensuring accurate reporting and efficient maintenance.

Location: South Auckland
Start date: Immediate start available (role commencing within 2–4 weeks)
Pay rate: $30–32 per hour (paid weekly)
Key duties:
  • Operate CCTV equipment to inspect drainage systems and pipelines
  • Record, log, and code inspection footage accurately
  • Follow NZ Pipe Inspection Manual (4th Ed.) standards
  • Identify defects, blockages, and structural issues in underground assets
  • Work closely with the drainage and maintenance team to support project delivery
  • Maintain and calibrate CCTV and related inspection equipment
  • Ensure safety and compliance procedures are followed at all times
  • Assist with general site work as required
  • To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
  • Minimum 2 years’ practical experience as a CCTV Operator
  • Training in NZ Pipe Inspection Manual (4th Edition)
  • Full Class 1 driver licence
  • Reliable and professional with good communication skills
  • Positive, progressive attitude and willingness to develop further
  • Preferred (but not essential):
  • 5+ years’ experience in drainage CCTV work
  • Experience with logging and coding
  • Class 2 or 4 driver licence
  • Flusher (jetter truck) experience
  • Confined space training
  • Dangerous Goods licence
  • Vacuum truck / hydro excavation experience
