You may be looking for a working holiday adventure in New Zealand for 6 months or maybe developing your hospitality career with us.  

We have accommodation options available and can also accommodate couples or small groups if everyone has hospitality experience.

Our seasonal teams are fun and made up of a diverse mix of people of all ages and nationalities. 

Our Chef de Parties and Demi Chef de Parties will start from October - December 2025 and continue through the summer season until April 2026.

 


What you will do: 
The kitchen is where the magic happens in our Luxury Hotel - and you can be part of that! We currently have a fantastic opportunity for Chef de Partie and Demi Chef de Partie to join our team to create memorable and unique experiences.

Duties include - 
  • Preparing menus in collaboration with colleagues 
  • Ensuring adequacy of supplies at cooking stations 
  • Training, developing and supporting junior chefs. 
  • Preparing ingredients that should be frequently available (vegetables, spices etc) 
  • Following the guidance of the head or sous chefs and have input in new ways of presentation of dishes. 
  • Putting effort in optimising the cooking process with attention to speed and quality 
  • Enforcing strict health and hygiene standards 

What you will bring: 
For this position, you must be self-motivated, a team player and work well in a fast-paced environment.

Ideally you will have: 
  • Minimum 2 years previous experience as a Chef de Partie, in a similar standard establishment 
  • Relevant culinary / hospitality qualifications 
  • Have excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes. 
  • Have the ability to think on your feet as we have many guest requests and menu changes each day 
  • Have good time management and the ability to multitask. 
  • Thorough understanding of Health & Safety requirements

Due our private and remote location, you will need to have your own reliable transport.

You will also need a valid working holiday visa or New Zealand work rights to apply.
