We are seeking motivated and committed psychologists who are interested in working in our community-based clinical teams.

Our mental health services offer a range of comprehensive mental health assessments and interventions to people residing in the southern regions of Auckland city (Counties Manukau district).

We value the contribution psychologists make to our teams and our communities we serve.

As part of the team, you will have the opportunity to practice advanced therapies and contribute to treatment planning and service development.


Please note: Counties Manukau also offers specialist district-wide services that focus on high-needs populations.

We have the following positions available across the following community services:
Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)
Our child and adolescent services work with children and youth between the ages of 4 and 18 years.

You will provide specialist assessments, therapy and clinical interventions, and integrative treatment plans for the children and youth living in south Auckland.

Our CAMHS services offer you an opportunity to work with a vibrant and experienced clinical team; and an opportunity to provide care to a clinically and culturally diverse and appreciative community.
Adult Community Mental Health (CMHC)
Our CMHC teams provide specialised mental health care and support for adults aged 16 65 who are experiencing moderate to severe mental health conditions.

Focused on community-based care, these teams help individuals manage their mental health and live their lives in an empowering and meaningful way.

Psychologists in this role will provide a range of individual and group psychological therapies, and actively support the delivery of several evidence-based modalities such as DBT and CAT.


Tiaho Mai Inpatient Ward
Tiaho Mai is a 52-bed inpatient mental health unit located at Middlemore Hospital.

It offers care and support for adults experiencing an acute mental health crisis.

Many patients present with complex psychiatric and psychological needs and are supported through the most critical phases of their distress in a supportive, structured, and therapeutic environment.
