Are you an experienced software engineer with a passion for driving innovation and shaping the future of technology?

What You Will Do

As a C++ Mobile Software Engineer within our Survey and Mapping division, you’ll be a pivotal member of the Trimble Access development and modernization team.

We are a global team, and in this role, you'll be based in our Christchurch office, collaborating closely with colleagues both locally and across Trimble's international facilities.

Our team is responsible for an application encompassing GNSS & Optical positioning, data management, geometry, 3D visualization, cloud connectivity, radio communications, and market-specific workflows.

You will leverage your deep technical expertise, especially in C++ and cross-platform development (Windows and Android), to drive significant new features and modernize key components of the Trimble Access mobile platform.

You’ll be involved in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from initial design to implementation and maintenance.

Some of your core responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to the modernization of Trimble Access components and infrastructure, ensuring the platform remains cutting-edge.

  • Proactively identifying and solving complex technical challenges, often working independently.

  • Collaborating with product managers, application specialists, and other software engineers to develop and improve our products.

  • Mentoring less experienced colleagues and acting as a technical go-to person.

  • Applying best practices and company policies to ensure high-quality outcomes.
