Your role combines strategic advising, stakeholder engagement, and project oversight to ensure high-quality, timely delivery of data-driven insights that inform decision-making across the social sector.You will commission and scope analytical work, manage delivery, and help shape the methodologies and frameworks that underpin our advice on complex social issues.
This role requires strong relationship building, excellent communication, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable data projects.What You'll Be Responsible ForProvide high-level advice on complex social sector issues, trends and opportunitiesLead strategic planning, commissioning and delivery of analytical projectsPartner with teams across the agency to translate business needs into actionable data workBuild strong relationships with government agencies, NGOs, and other key sector partnersSupport and enhance analytical frameworks and best practices across the organisationContribute to the agency's reputation as a centre of excellence for evidence and insightsProven experience in a partnering or advisory role, ideally in the public or social sectorStrong analytical and strategic thinking skillsAbility to communicate technical information to a non-technical audienceDemonstrated experience managing complex projects and stakeholder relationshipsExperience with data tools and technologies (e.g. Power BI, R, SQL)A relevant tertiary qualification – postgraduate study in a quantitative field is a plusAn understanding of Matauranga Maori and tikanga is highly valuedBand 20: $171 870 - $202 200 - Salaries are negotiated based on relevant skills and experience.Applications close at 11.59pm on Tuesday, 7th October 2025; however, we will review applications as they come in and may invite people to interview before the close date.
