We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Intelligence Analyst with strong analytical skills, and an inquisitive mindset to truly make a difference to the Operational Capability group.
This is a key role critical to the success of Operational Capability outcomes.
The purpose of the Operational Capability group is to enhance our people’s operational capability, so they are more effective in keeping themselves and our communities safe.
To support the delivery of these outcomes the Business Intelligence Analyst will evaluate capability and business system performance and outcomes by collating, evaluating, recording, analysing and reporting capability business performance information.
This position is responsible for collecting, maintaining, analysing and sharing primary information used to improve the performance and on-going support and enablement of our people to deliver services in a way that keeps them safe and feeling safe.
Key Accountabilities:
* Developing and maintaining a key performance indicator (outputs, benefits, expected outcomes) framework to measure the performance of our tactical assets, uniforms and business systems effectiveness to support frontline capability outcomes.
* Using your data analytical and data visualisation skills to bring the numbers alive and tell the story to inform and influence better decision making.
* Using your data acumen to design and deliver clear and insightful reports, dashboards, and analyses which deliver utility to stakeholders.
* Providing high quality customer service to the business.
* Quickly building professional and trusted intra-relationships with other group analysts and inter-relationships across all levels of the organisation.
* Support the Business Intelligence and Senior Busine Planning managers to continuously improve and mature business processes, efficiencies and alignment with organisational business processes (e.g. the long-term investment plan).

* Background experience in analysis with quantitative, and ideally qualitative, data.
Skills and experience collecting, managing, interpreting and reporting business data from an operational practice environment would be desirable.

* You will need to use your data acumen and systems thinking to design clear and insightful reports, dashboards, and infographics which deliver utility to stakeholders.
* To be successful in this role you will have a level of stakeholder management skill with the ability to communicate key concepts and influence stakeholders at both operational and strategic levels.
* Knowledge of the public sector environment and business is desirable, and a tertiary qualification would be an advantage.
* A high level of experience with the full Microsoft office suite is a must.
Experience with SAP, Sentient, Business Objects, and Power BI would be beneficial.

Utu ā-tau | Salary
This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $95,057 and $100,626 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
