Job description

The Company:
My client is a strongly branded, well recognised company and a  New Zealand service industry leader .

They provide an essential waste management service to the businesses of Auckland.

They are a proudly 100% Kiwi owned company and are the third largest industry player, with over 350 employees in 8 branches located across NZ.

They strongly support the work all kiwis are doing to create a space for future generations, and sustainability is at the heart of every decision they make.


The Opportunity:
They are currently seeking to employ 2 highly motivated BDMs, to promote their services to customers, who are based in a West Auckland or North Auckland based Territory.

This is a  new business focused role , which means that you will need to get out of the office and talk to business customers in your territory…… lots of them!

We only want those who are confident in prospecting for new business.

You will be active in the field and will enjoy being out and about, knocking on doors and talking to new businesses each day.

(No email prospecting in this role, it's a true face- to-face sales role).

The other BDMs are doing incredibly well, and you can too!

This company has invested in some amazing go-to-market strategies.

The value proposition on offer is simply amazing, with some strong cost savings for their customers.

(And you know customers all like to save money).

A motivated attitude is key in this role.

This is not an office-based role.

Those who are active in their territories and will get out and visit lots of customers will do incredibly well.

Skills, Experience and Attributes required:

  •  Enthusiastic salespeople with upbeat, likeable personalities.
  •  Hunters - 2+ years  or more cold calling sales experience (This is a must have).
  • Someone who enjoys getting out of the office and meeting new clients.
  • Preference would be to  have door knocking or field based cold calling sales experience.
  • Willingness to learn and work hard and be active in your territory
  • A good presenter, a good listener, and able to influence others.
  • We want salespeople who want to earn over $100K, over $120K..more
  • Ability to manage a sales pipeline and use a CRM effectively.
  •  Will talk to the little customers and the ability & have confidence to present to the big ones as well.
  • Hugely motivated to achieve, hit targets and earn commission.
  •  You must have a Driver’s license 
  • The Rewards: 

  • A base salary between $75K - $80K, dependent on experience
  • An uncapped commission structure that will have you earning well in excess of $100K.
