Job description

OverviewBusiness Development Executive (Southland or North Otago) for Halter, a company redefining dairy farming with automated pasture and cattle management technology.
This permanent role supports Halter's expansion in the Southland or North Otago market, working with a regional Customer team on the ground and backed by Halter's Auckland HQ.
Travel is required to meet with farmers daily; applicant must live within the region.ResponsibilitiesOn-farm sales meetings: understand prospects' needs, clearly communicate functionality and benefits, and demonstrate value relative to each farming operation.Prospecting: build and grow a pipeline of suitable farms, manage newly sourced and inbound leads through the initial stages of the pipeline, including screening and qualifying.Networking: build and leverage industry relationships to establish and maintain Halter's brand.Forecasting: collaborate with the Business Development Manager to enable monthly and quarterly revenue forecasting.Growth initiatives: work with the Business Development Manager to optimise and evolve the sales process for faster, more efficient, and more predictable growth as the company scales.Who are we looking forA deep passion for helping farmers succeed; experience in farm systems or the agricultural sector.A hunter who is driven to exceed sales goals and experienced in growing new business, owning the end-to-end sales cycle from lead generation to close.Passion and enthusiasm; attitude and potential are important.A phenomenal attitude and a team player with the ability to overcome challenges consistently.A hunter with a never-say-never attitude.The ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a high degree of autonomy.A hunger for success and personal growth to evolve quickly alongside a world-class sales team.Why our team loves working at HalterHalter disrupts and transforms an entire industry, offering meaningful work and a mission to make a difference.
