With a strong focus on performance monitoring, data, and insights, we're committed to continuous improvement and evidence-based decision-making.It's an exciting time to join DSS as we strengthen our systems and expand our capabilities.We're looking for passionate people to help us achieve our goals and make a meaningful impact.About the role | Mo te tunga:As Business Analyst System Improvement, you'll play a key role in analysing service performance data, identifying trends and gaps, and supporting targeted improvement projects.You'll work closely with quality advisors, subject matter experts, and providers to gather and interpret data from audits, complaints, incidents, and service user feedback.Your insights will inform the design and implementation of initiatives that lift service quality and consistency across the sector.You'll also help develop tools, templates, and reporting mechanisms, and contribute to tracking the impact of change initiatives on provider practice and outcomes.Key responsibilities include:Analyse service performance data (audits, incidents, complaints, provider reports) to identify trends and opportunities for improvementSupport the design, planning, and delivery of system, process and service improvement projectsCollaborate with project teams, quality advisors, and providers to develop practical tools and guidanceDevelop and maintain monitoring and reporting frameworks to assess the impact of quality improvement activitiesTranslate complex information into accessible insights for decision-making and continuous improvementEnsure technical information is accessible for diverse audiences, including disabled people, whanau, and provider networksWe value diversity and welcome applications from disabled people and those who have lived experience with whanau, or the disability community.Please contact us if there is any support that we can provide to ensure the recruitment process is accessible to you.Proven experience in a similar role such as business information systems, workflow process mapping, statistics, business administration, or quality improvementStrong experience as a Business Analyst in a range of project environmentsProven ability in critical thinking, analysis, and developing business solutionsExperience investigating and analysing complex problems and reaching sound conclusionsSkilled in stakeholder engagement and relationship buildingExperience using a range of metrics, tools, and methodologies for data analysisProficient user of Word, Excel, Outlook, and project tools (e.g., Visio, PowerPoint, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint)Familiarity with public sector environments and quality standardsStrong planning and organisational skills to manage multiple projects and competing deadlinesExcellent communication skills, able to translate technical information for diverse audiencesSalary | Utu-a-tau: $79,****** - $95,******The Ministry of Social Development is a people-centred organisation.
