Join us as a Brewery Technician at our Boundary Road Brewery in Papakura, Auckland, and play an important part in crafting some of New Zealand’s most loved beers.
In this hands-on role, you’ll be involved in the full brewing process — from preparing ingredients and producing wort to overseeing fermentation, filtration, and quality checks.
You’ll also have the opportunity to support our pilot brewery and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Please note: This is a full-time role with a minimum of 40 guaranteed hours per week, working 8-hour rotating shifts across days, afternoons, and nights.
Pay range: NZD $26.00 – $34.00 per hour, dependent on skills, qualifications, and experience.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor brewing and filtration equipment to meet production plansSupport fermentation processes, yeast pitching, and green beer centrifugationCarry out quality checks, including chemical and gas analysisMaintain high hygiene standards through CIP (Clean-In-Place) proceduresAssist with pilot brewery trial brews and recipe developmentRecord accurate production and quality data within manufacturing systemsShare ideas and support continuous improvement initiativesChampion a strong culture of safety and quality at all times About You
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, has strong attention to detail, and takes pride in producing quality outcomes.
You will bring:
A minimum tertiary qualification in science (e.g. food, chemistry, microbiology), brewing, or a related fieldInterest in brewing and learning end-to-end production processesExperience in a production, laboratory, food, or beverage environmentStrong attention to detail and organisational skillsA safety-focused mindset and willingness to learn new processesClear communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a teamConfidence using computer systems to record and monitor dataA forklift licence (beneficial but not essential)
