    We're looking for a passionate and skilled Barista to join our team at a leading Business & Industry client site in Penrose.

    In this role, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the coffee bar, delivering exceptional service and expertly crafted beverages.

    You'll be the heart of the café experience, creating memorable moments for every customer.

    This is a permanent part time position.


    Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:


  • Operate the coffee bar, including preparing, serving, and closing down daily operations.
  • Prepare and serve espresso coffee to the highest standards, including grinding, extracting, and milk texturing.
  • Deliver warm, friendly, and professional customer service, responding to requests and feedback.
  • Maintain coffee bar stocks, storerooms, and ensure a clean, safe, and hygienic environment.
  • Operate the cash register and follow Compass Group's cash handling procedures.

  • Proven experience in a similar barista or hospitality role.
  • Able to work efficiently under pressure with excellent time management.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Physically fit, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Holds or is willing to obtain a NZQA Level 2 or 3 Barista Skills Certificate and Food Handling Certificate.
