Job Description

As an Assistant Programme Manager, you’ll be the friendly face that makes the mornings) and afternoons unforgettable for children.

You’ll work a minimum of 10 contracted hours per week – mornings (7:00–8:30am), afternoons (2:30–6:00pm depending on programme requirements), and potentially extra hours during the school holidays (between 7:00am–6:00pm)

  • Bring the fun! Supervise and support tamariki through a mix of exciting, safe activities every day 
  • Team up with your Programme Manager to run awesome sessions that keep kids buzzing with energy 
  • Be the extra set of eyes and ears – spotting any wellbeing, behaviour, or safety hiccups and making sure everyone feels supported 
  • Connect with parents and schools, keeping communication warm and positive 
  • Be a team player – jump in to help your crew and make the programme run smoothly

Qualifications

We’d love to hear from you if you: 

  • Have the right to work in New Zealand (valid visa or citizenship) 
  • Can get to our sKids Botany site.
  • Are enthusiastic about working with kids – from babysitting to coaching to volunteering, any experience counts! 
  • Are reliable, energetic, and keen to make every session special 
  • Have proven experience running before and after school programmes is a big plus 
  • Are a confident communicator – you’ll be the key link between sKids and parents 
  • Are over the age of 20 years old, in order to comply with Social Security (Childcare Assistance) Regulations 2004
