Job Summary
The Assistant Manager, Guest Experience is a store leadership role reporting to the Store Manager.
You will lead from the floor, build and develop the team, and create a sense of belonging while delivering outstanding guest experience in line with company values and directives.
Core Responsibilities Of The Job
Create and foster a respectful and inclusive team environment, welcoming differences to support a productive and enjoyable experience for all team members.
Lead from the floor to assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team, and guests.
Engage with team members to show how their work supports the store and lululemon overall.
Implement the Store Manager's People vision and cascade it to the team using independent judgment.
Manage the store's hiring process, including recruitment, selection, and onboarding, to build a strong, diverse team.
Provide training and coaching to address development needs and source training solutions.
Lead performance management activities, provide feedback, conduct check-ins, manage performance documentation, and address performance concerns, including offboarding when necessary.
Lead an exceptional guest experience on the floor and collaborate with the team to maintain day-to-day store operations.
Address guest feedback and issues, including escalations and urgent requests, to make it right for guests.
Monitor and compare performance metrics against goals to close gaps in guest experience.
Manage inventory and product levels, ensure accuracy of counts, monitor shrinkage, and coordinate deliveries in line with visual merchandising strategy.
Oversee accurate inventory receiving and processing to sustain operational excellence.
Job Requirements
Eligibility
Must be legally authorized to work in the country in which the store is located
Must be able to travel to the assigned store with reliable transportation
Schedule/Availability
Full-time position, 38 hours per week
Roster-based schedule that can vary based on store needs
Shifts typically include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
During peak periods or events, early mornings or late nights/overnights may be required for some team members
Experience
1 year of people management experience
1 year of leadership experience, including managing business operations and projects or processes
Job Assets (Nice to Have)
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: 1 year retail or sales-specific management experience; 1 year recruiting, hiring, or training employees
