Rotorua Lakes Council is seeking a highly skilledAsset and Services Managerto lead the strategic oversight, maintenance, and development of key structural assets that enhance our community's wellbeing.About the Role:You will be responsible for a diverse portfolio that includes bridges, boardwalks, retaining walls, playgrounds, shelters, and other built structures vital to public amenity and safety.
The role also encompasses the management ofcemetery operationsandtraffic management services, ensuring respectful service delivery and safe, efficient operations.What You'll Bring:We are looking for a confident and technically skilled leader who can operate across multiple service areas while managing a team of approximately 13 staff.
You will bring a relevant qualification such as a degree, diploma, or trade certificate in carpentry, fabrication/welding, or landscaping.
You will have project and site management experience, as well as proven ability to manage teams and contractors.
Proficiency in asset management systems and project planning tools is essential, along with technical expertise in structural maintenance and construction.
You will be adept in risk assessment, compliance, and health and safety leadership, and possess excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
