About PowerNetWe are New Zealand's fourth largest electricity network company managing five electricity networks across the diverse and spectacular lower South Island.Wepride ourselves on delivering safe, efficient, and reliable power to southern communities and our field teamsplaya significant part in our business.We are an industry leader and as such our progression and innovation is at the forefront of our business where we are committed to learning more about emerging technologies and the impact this will have on our customers, communities, and network.About the roleAs an Asset Inspector you will be responsible for assessing the condition of our technical distribution assets (substations, transformers, circuit breakers to name a few) using tools and electrical test equipment, recording in accordance with our condition assessment programme, and reporting back on the performance of our plant and equipment.The role would suit a commercial or industrial electrician willing to learn and broaden their horizon in the electrical industry.
As an Asset Inspector you will have the opportunity to travel and work in a variety of locations across Southland and Otago.
Given the vast area we cover there will be times you will need to stay away from home on a rostered basis.

This is a full-time position working forty (40) hours per week, Monday to Friday, with competitive hourly rates and allowances.What you will need to be successfulTo be successful in this role you will need to be a registered electrician with at least two years' experience within the New Zealand electrical industry.
