Architectural Graduate / Technician - Invercargill


Beattie McDowell Architects are looking for an experienced Architectural Graduate or Technician to join our busy Invercargill based practice.

The position is full time.



We are a practice of five people involved with a wide variety of projects throughout Southland and Otago, ranging from smaller residential work through to larger commercial, industrial, hospitality and education projects.




We aim to provide our clients with innovative, considered and appropriate, design led architectural solutions.

We are committed to providing a thorough quality service and usually follow our projects through with full administration and observation services.



The successful candidate will ideally possess the following attributes:

- minimum 2+ years New Zealand practice experience, (ideally both residential and commercial),

 - a passion for delivering innovative, considered and appropriate design solutions,

 - a good understanding of and interest in building technique and construction,
 - a commitment to providing clear, thorough and concise communications and documentation,

 - familiarity with the NZ Building Code and relevant NZ Standards and legislation,

 - ArchiCAD experience preferred (but not essential),

 - a desire to learn and expand their knowledge, experience and skill base,

 - good communication skills, a professional manner and a positive outlook,

 - a team player who is proactive, motivated and has a good sense of humour.
