We also review sector trends, share insights, and help drive improved performance and compliance across the sector.We're looking for an Analyst/Kaitatari to join our high-performing team, reporting to the Team Manager, Risk & Crown Ownership.
In this in-demand role, you'll help support a large programme of work and be responsible for reviewing financial and non-financial information to undertake financial viability assessment of the Private Training Establishments, that we fund.
***He angitutanga**** Undertake financial monitoring using established processes and tools, identify and mitigate risks for long-term sustainability.
* Engage with Private Training Establishments on the outcomes of the financial viability assessment.
* Monitor and assist (where appropriate) agreed improvement actions.
* Provide critical thinking around how the TEC can continually improve and strengthen its monitoring activities, considering emerging issues.
* Assist the Team Manager, Risk & Crown Ownership with the preparation of Board briefing papers, and where necessary OIAs and parliamentary questions.
* Contribute to and lead, continual improvements to the financial monitoring frameworks, processes and methods of reporting that support financial assessment and the work undertaken by MCO.

* A demonstrated experience in undertaking financial viability analysis.
* An understanding of financial monitoring frameworks and investigation principles and their application in a regulatory setting.
* Ability to analyse complex problems and integrate information with an inquisitive mindset.
* In-depth knowledge and experience of central government processes, and policies.
* Knowledge of the tertiary education sector (preferred).
