Urgent! Alcohol Licensing Inspector Job Opening In Auckland – Now Hiring Auckland Council
He angitutanga: The opportunityYou will be working at the frontline in reducing alcohol-related harm in the community by ensuring compliance.
This role involves reporting on applications made by people or businesses seeking to enter or remain in the hospitality industry, visiting premises to educate licensees and managers, carrying out inspections (including some night monitoring), gathering evidence, and preparing reports and taking enforcement steps to compel compliance as and when necessary.
You will monitor licensed premises and events to ensure compliance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act **** and may be involved with the court hearing process if a case is escalated.
You will work with internal and external stakeholders including the police, Auckland Regional Public Health, and environmental health to resolve compliance issues and foster a collaborative approach to issues.This full-time permanent role works 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.

A natural problem solver, you will demonstrate an ability to understand what is required to build relationships and resolve conflict through negotiation.
This would suit individuals with two years of experience in compliance, law enforcement, investigation, or regulatory environment.
You are a strong team player, able to demonstrate a solid understanding of relevant legislation as well as the ability to effectively translate requirements to customers.
