We're offering a rare opportunity to take the lead in operating and maintaining AUT's newest robotic systems.
As the Advanced Robotics Technician, you'll play a key role in bringing AUT's technology ambitions to life specifically with these cutting-edge assets.
From supporting research and development to facilitating engaging demonstrations and educational experiences, your work will ensure these assets are reliable, safe, and always ready to work.
This is a unique role where you'll combine hands-on technical skills with creativity and communication.
You'll be the go-to person for the operations of these robots, handling minor repairs, programming updates, and operational readiness.
You'll also work directly with international manufacturers to keep things running smoothly.
Qualifications and experience
This is a graduate-level position, suitable for graduates who meet the requirements outlined below:
A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer and Information Sciences, or a related discipline.
Applicants should have completed relevant robotics, automation, or embedded systems coursework or project work as part of their degree, or have equivalent practical experience.
Proficiency in Python and/or C++ are highly desirable.
A current New Zealand driver's licence is required.
Candidates with fluency in mandarin will be given preference due to the need to communicate with overseas suppliers and manufacturers.
