Te Turanga – About the role
We're on the lookout for a sharp, organised and proactive Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our awesome Finance Operations Team here at Foodstuffs North Island.

This role offers a ton of variety – you will be working across:
Sundry Billing
Process weekly statements and direct debits to Members
Execute all sundry and ad hoc billing across the business
Follow up with functional areas to ensure recurring charges are raised consistently
Accounts Receivable
Support billing tasks related to change of ownerships
Manage retention accounts effectively and on time
Financial Activities
Daily banking and payments allocation
Christmas club processing
Staff fuel charge management
General ledger journal entries and on-charging via GLSU (e.g. accounting and interest fees)
Day-to-day management of Foodstuffs Gift Vouchers, including customer liaison
Continuous Improvement & Collaboration
Identify root causes of unnecessary transactions or payment delays
Collaborate across teams to develop and implement solutions
Maintain high service standards and report improvements to the Accounts Receivable Manager
Participate in business initiatives, cross-team training, and development opportunities
Ensure all communication is professional, clear, and concise
Support the team with escalations, training, and cross-skilling as needed
He korero mou - About you
This is a busy role in a small team, with a mix of accounts, admin and customer service and you will have had previous experience in Accounts Receivable/Payable, understand financial workflows and be comfortable working at pace – we need you to hit the ground running!
You will have a customer centric approach with high level of relationship management focus to deliver excellence.
Exceptional planning and communication skills – both written and verbal, with a great ability to collaborate with others, clearly articulate ideas/concepts and present to others.
Have a good understanding of SAP and the flow of financial documents with an eye for detail and amazing accuracy.
Experience from a FMCG environment will be highly advantageous.
