We live by our REAL values - Respect, Energy & Effort, Attitude, Leadership - and we demonstrate these through the good work we do, every day, as one team.The opportunityAs Accounts Receivable Officer you will be providing support to finance team by ensuring timely and accurate processing of accounts receivable, contributing to positive cash flow and maintaining strong relationships with client and internal departments.
You will become part of our well-established business as we undertake an ERP upgrade, guided by an experienced team of Fulton Hogan staff and change management experts.This is a fixed term role from the end of October 2025 until November 2026.In addition to the above you will:Generate and issue customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner, reflecting contract and purchase order details.Monitor outstanding debts, follow up with clients on overdue accounts, and escalate any significant debt issues according to company policyReconcile receivable accounts and ensure payments are correctly allocated in the financial systemPrepare and distribute regular aged debtor reports; assist in month-end and year-end financial processesAddress client queries regarding invoices and payments; maintain strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external customersProvide support and documentation for internal and external audits related to accounts receivableAt Fulton Hogan, we genuinely care about the wellbeing of our people and giving them the tools and opportunities they need to succeed and grow with us.Good Work equals Good BenefitsKiwiSaver employer contributionsFuel discount cardParental leave top-up payment with additional return to work supportFamily scholarshipsOngoing training and development, career growth and progression opportunitiesGreat discounts at a wide range of retailersMedical insuranceLife insuranceWe're looking for someone with:1-2 years' experience in accounts receivable or finance administrationExcellent multi-tasking and organisational skills with strong attention to detailCustomer-focused approach and ability to work collaboratively within a teamComputer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft OfficeStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsStrong attention to detail, high accuracy, and the ability to manage workload under pressureAlignment with our values of Respect, Energy & Effort, Attitude & LeadershipCreating, Connecting and caring for the communityOur people regularly donate their time to local causes and initiatives, while at a regional and national level we provide financial support, skills and resources to a wide range of organisations that are strengthening our communities.
