About the role
As an Accounts Officer – Receivable with Accessible Properties, you will manage tenancy‑related financial transactions, including receipting, invoicing, reconciliations, bond administration and tenant account management.
You will work with Tenancy Managers and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to process Income‑Related Rent Subsidies, on‑charged water rates and ensure accurate tenant records.
This varied role allows you to support tenants, maintain compliance and contribute to our mission of providing safe, warm homes.
Responsibilities
- Manage tenancy‑related financial transactions, including receipting, invoicing, reconciliations and bond administration.
- Maintain tenant account records and work with Tenancy Managers and HUD to process subsidies and water rates.
- Support tenants, maintain compliance, and contribute to the provision of safe, warm homes.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years’ experience in accounts with strong reconciliation skills.
- Intermediate Excel skills and solid knowledge of accounts processes.
- High attention to detail, strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with resilience under pressure.
- Proactive, adaptable and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Housing experience or an accounting qualification is an advantage.
